Fahad
Al Silah
From Najran, where the Jambiyas carry more than a mere function, Fahad Al-Sila grew up seeing this piece as a symbol of pride and belonging. For him, the Jambiya was not fleeting adornment, but a deep-rooted identity. Fahad says, "It is a source of prestige for me, and a source of pride for the entire region."
He inherited the craft from his father, learning it by observing the hands as they shaped the material and watching people choose their Jambiya as if they were choosing a piece of themselves. This love and powerful symbolism drove him to immerse himself in the art, not just as a profession, but as a deep passion and a core identity.
Today, Fahad excels in the craftsmanship of making Jambiyas and Khanjars. He believes this legacy is only complete when it is transferred to the next generation. Just as he inherited his Jambiya from his father, he wishes to pass the craft on to his children, preserving this authentic tradition for the generations to come, exactly as those before him preserved it.
