In recognition of the strategic importance The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts – Wrth places on culture and the arts, and its belief in their pivotal role in human life, the institute has participated in a number of local and international events aimed at highlighting cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Britain. The "GREAT FUTURES" initiative took place in Riyadh over two days, May 14 and 15, as part of the ongoing efforts of the Quality-of-Life Program. The institute's participation aims to promote cultural exchange and emphasize national identity by introducing traditional arts and raising awareness about them both locally and globally. Cultural exchange offers a platform for the convergence of human cultures and the sharing of inspiring creative ideas. 

This initiative is part of a joint effort by Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom to strengthen ties and build promising and sustainable developmental partnerships between the two countries across all economic and cultural sectors. These efforts, in turn, support the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on supporting developmental sectors and enriching cultural and artistic fields.

Supported by the Ministry of Commerce, The Institue's participation in "GREAT FUTURES" includes several accompanying activities such as an interactive woodworking art workshop (Najdi doors) that encourages the practice of traditional arts, as well as live demonstrations of Sadu weaving, and the display of various community art pieces created by different segments of society.

Additionally, in collaboration with "Generation 2030," The Institute participated in "London Craft Week," held annually in the British capital at the Victoria and Albert Museum on May 16. Artisan Abdullah Al-Khuzam led a workshop on woodworking art (Najdi doors), showcasing talented artisans from around the world and their unique creative works.

Finally, The Institute hosted the British artisan Harriet Frances at its headquarters in Riyadh on May 18 to conduct a comprehensive educational workshop on British metalwork and embroidery art titled: "Jewelry Embroidery."
