The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts Announces the Launch of Wrth Camp

Wrth: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts continues its efforts to enrich the national cultural landscape and strengthen Saudi identity through a variety of unique activities, participations, and programs. These initiatives forge a deep connection between the rich and diverse heritage of Saudi traditional arts and the passionate creative talents eager to learn and practice these crafts, aiming to raise awareness, develop, and sustain our national traditional arts.
Wrth is hosting the "Wrth Bootcamp" in Madinah from September 19, 2024, to October 15, 2024, as part of the Madinah Dates Season 2024. Registration opens on August 15 via Wrth’s official social media platforms and website. This camp is the first of its kind among traditional craft programs, offering students a unique, immersive experience connected to the traditional arts of the Madinah region over 28 continuous days.
The camp is fully equipped to provide participants with all the necessities for a comfortable and secure learning environment. It features accommodations within breathtaking natural surroundings that reflect the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, elements that have significantly shaped our authentic arts.
At the "Wrth Bootcamp," students will embark on an exceptional journey that blends enjoyment, exploration, and intellectual growth. Through both theoretical and practical training, they will delve into the basics of the traditional artistic crafts of the Madinah region, learning how to practice and implement these crafts. This hands-on experience will be guided by expert artisans from Wrth, culminating in the creation of unique, handcrafted artworks made with natural materials from the region. Additionally, the bootcamp will offer a range of enjoyable activities, including entertainment events and cultural tours of the most significant historical and cultural landmarks in the area.
