This marvelous participation boasts an extraordinary design, where visitors are greeted by the most prominent book showcasing the story of a family that has inherited a traditional craft. The smallest miniature model of the artisan's workshop is juxtaposed with the larger-than-life book that unfolds the journey of the Al-Anis family and their tradition of mastering bookbinding, passed down through the generations.
The Royal Institute is delighted to offer visitors a gift of manuscripts bearing verses by one of the greatest Arab poets, Abu Tayyib al-Mutanabbi, inscribed with supreme mastery by Arabic calligraphy artists at the Royal Institute.
What sets this booth apart is the interactive section that allows visitors to actively participate in the traditional bookbinding experience, guided by a skilled artisan. They learn the secrets of this traditional art and receive hands-on guidance to master it.
