Palm knitting and weaving is considered one of the oldest and most well-known traditional arts in Saudi Arabia. Palm arts or Al-Saff is a simple art that soothes the mind, while its skills can be easily learned and mastered. This course is an introduction and exploration of Al-Saff; trainees start with learning basic weaving techniques (such as weaving fans) and then gradually create more challenging pieces of work such as bags and baskets.
