AnnouncementsThe Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) is presenting "Wrth Ramadan Nights" during the holy month of Ramadan 2026. The event is being held at the Ruslania Cafe in Madinah (Sayyid al-Shuhada branch), targeting local residents as well as visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque and the city of Madinah.
Now in its second edition, Wrth Ramadan Nights serves as a cultural and community event aimed at enhancing the spiritual and religious impact of the holy month. Through experiences that blend a faith-filled atmosphere with traditional arts, the event contributes to introducing these art forms and raising awareness of their cultural value.
The event features the Traditional Arts Pathway, which showcases a collection of crafts linked to the natural surroundings of Mount Ar-Rumah (the Archers' Hill) and the architectural environment near the Sayyid al-Shuhada site. Additionally, Wrth Ramadan Nights includes a community artwork created through a series of interactive workshops. Visitors and artisans collaborate to produce craft pieces inspired by traditional arts, which will be assembled at the end of the experience to form a complete, unified artwork reflecting the spirit of cooperation and participation by the conclusion of Ramadan.
The Wrth Store is also participating in the event, offering handcrafted products meticulously made by Wrth students and artisans. These items reflect the diversity of traditional arts in the Kingdom and allow visitors to acquire pieces carrying authentic cultural and artisanal value.
Furthermore, Wrth Ramadan Nights features a Ramadan podcast broadcast throughout the holy month. Produced in collaboration with Dr. Abdullah Hussein Al-Qadi -a contemporary researcher specializing in documenting and verifying aspects of the Prophet’s biography- the podcast focuses on the Prophet's Migration (Hijrah) journey and its historical routes.
