These arts bring together popular dances representing the variety of local environments and traditional music ranging from desert Bedouin melodies to coastal urban rhythms, making them a living mirror of society’s values and creative spirit. Performing arts are also a powerful medium for understanding bodily expression and its connection to identity and belonging, which grants them a special place in cultural studies.

The program aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of traditional performing arts in the Kingdom by exploring their types, music, and history, while deepening the understanding of their role as a form of cultural expression and human creativity, contributing to their appreciation of the value and role of these arts in preserving national identity.
