About the course
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed special emphasis on the craft of traditional bookbinding, which has a vital role in preserving Arab and Islamic heritage and safeguarding knowledge across generations. This course introduces participants to this foundational art.
Attendees will get a historical overview of traditional bookbinding and its development, as well as an introduction to the tools of the craft and how to use them. They will be guided through a step-by-step exploration of the four main stages of manual binding, culminating in the production of a traditionally bound book, crafted using authentic techniques.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

- Use bookbinding tools competently and confidently

Entry Requirements
This course is open to all community members aged 18 years and above, who have a high school diploma or higher accreditation.
