Program Overview

Al-Bisht Al-Hasawi is considered one of the traditional cultural elements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This apprenticeship program is the first of its kind in the Arab world. It offers essential knowledge and skills related to the bisht-making craft. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the craft, its history, tools, Level 1 embroidery stitches, and production stages. The program includes hands-on training under the supervision of expert artisans and specialists, enabling trainees to develop practical, usable products.

Admission Requirements

  • Age between 18 and 60 years
  • Experience in sewing, embroidery, or traditional handcrafts
  • Basic educational background sufficient to comprehend the theoretical and practical training (high school preferred)
